Israel/Palestine Hamas Attack on Israel - 7 Oct 23

With all the money that flowed into the place , the Palestinians could have been living in another Nice or Singapore .
Instead , they let themselves be hijacked by HAMAS and now they live in Ground Zero .

Then again , I forgot , they dump rubbish everywhere , have no concept of the terms " Planning " or " Building Control " and think " Education " means putting on plays for 8 year olds where the kids pretend to take Israeli hostages .

There are a number o Luxury Hotels in Gaza, and it has a small tourist industry. But will the billions and billions and billions of USD that has been pumped into that place there are some really difficult questions being asked.

Gaza could have had a booming economy, but decided to go down the Hamas route.

FFS, give me strength:

Needless to say, nothing about hostages or 7 October. "I feel betrayed as a Palestinian, as a Muslim, as an Arab. I really feel betrayed." But not betrayed as an Australian?

Thats so you can pencil in the word "victim" to each category. Wouldnt work with Australian.

Christ on a bike that footage of the 07/10 attack & the two girls being executed while trying to run away is harrowing. What must that second girl who stopped & collapsed have been thinking while that scumbag was stood over her.

Thanks for this, it's food for thought. I have no problem with the elimination of an enemy that places no value on human life. The problem is that although that enemy is the "Palestinians", not all "Palestinians" are really like that, even if it is an established theme of their culture (like in the case of "honour killings").
There are Arabs here that look, walk, talk and do like terrorists, but there are also Arabs here that look, walk, talk like Arabs but do not do like terrorists, nor even support terrorism (like, just for example, the guy who volunteered with victim identification that I posted last night). They are absolutely not the enemy.
This all serves to illustrate how complex the whole ruddy situation is.

it’s further complicated by the education level and belief system which make people highly susceptible to radicalisation.

I grew up in the Catholic education system which brainwashes and eradicates independent thought and reasoning so I have an appreciated of the mentality.

People allow themselves to be blinded by faith and when it’s re enforced by headcases that will use the susceptible to do unpleasant things, you are royally fecked. We have the same problem here - one minute normal, then next minute radicalised with a suicide bomb in hand, and you can not spot when the switch flicks. You have that problem, only there are farsends of em that could be a risk or are a risk. I think it’s why these two girls (who were both teachers in their mid 20s) concluded what the concluded IMHO. The answer is just highly unpalatable.

It's all slowly coming out as to the horrors inflicted on your country that day.

The idiots in the West are in for a shock soon, when they realise they have been on the wrong side of history.
They are like the thick pencil, it is called cognitive dissonance, the ability to believe something despite all the facts.
It is quite common unfortunately

In fairness, while I know that Gaza voted for Hamas and must carry the can for that, the possibilities of any further choices rapidly disappeared with that vote and everything that's happened since is due to the criminality of Hamas and the ruthless indoctrination programme it's imposed. The fault for what's happened between then and now lies largely at the feet of those who've shovelled resources into the place and who had the power to control their use but who turned a blind eye to how those resources have been syphoned off and generally abused and who allowed Hamas to consolidate its control using thoose same resources.

Perversely for the pro-Hamas creatures in the West, Gaza's ability to revisit that choice and go another and better way depends almost entirely on the degree to which the IDF can destroy Hamas and its terror aparatus and prevent the emergence of Hamas 2.0. The Gazans themselves are now either helpless, psychotic or both.

Watched this video on YouTube and then some others (down the rabbit hole as usual.)
The absolutely vile antisemitism in some of the comments is unbelievable.
If I do nothing else today, I will be reporting the hatred and incitement to terrorism on there.
So, apologies for thread drift, but please report any evil you see elsewhere.
You are farting against thunder mate. YouTube comments are not moderated by anyone and any thread on this topic is full of the kind of comments that would've made Goebbels blink.

Spend your day doing something more productive, as YouTube ain't listening.

There also must be VERY hard questions asked of the ICRC and UN.
the IDF is uncovering very extensive terrorists infrastructure, not only within their compounds, but actually sited within their buildings that they must have known about and been complicit with.

Apologies for using your post to hang this point on but I think it's important. Please could posters stop using 'executed' to describe the October 7th killings. The correct verb is 'murdered'.

Equally, I would like our Media to be honest and describe the events of 7 October as a Pogrom, because that’s what it was; despite the denials of the usual suspects!

The West Bank doesn't generally "do" rockets, though in recent weeks there were a few attampts in the Jenin area.
Thanks, v. interesting. So are there still large scale rocket launches from Gaza? I ask because there hasn't been coverage of any in the last couple of weeks that I've seen.
