Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Good gathering, but I'm a bit surprised that only the serving Gurkha Signals officer organising the ceremony is be-medalled, normally Gurkha ex-soldiers would take up the chance to put their gongs up.

When a similar ceremony took place at Aldershot, a number of them wore their GSMs and LSGCs.
  2. Good.....

  3. This seems a little ambiguous. The Gurkhas were not singled out for receipt of the Pingat Jasa Malaysia medal any more than they had previously been excluded; it was simply a change in policy allowing all eligible British veterans to wear the PJM on Remembrance days and similar occasions.
