Gurkha Injured in Helicopter Crash. 'But what about the Chinook?!'

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Gurkha hurt as Chinook hits base | The Sun |News|Campaigns|Our Boys

I love the way the Sun reports. Not a scrap about the state of the Gurkha but a quote about the loss of a Chinook.

Immediate thoughts: 'The best way the Taliban can attack the Gurkhas is to crash a helicopter into them while they're sleeping.' And even then it's not a critical injury.
  2. If the Gurkha became angry, then I don't give the Chinook much hope of survival.

That said, Gurkhas are slow to ire and tend mainly to grin and beat everyone else at basketball and running up and down hills (mountains to the rest of us).

They do I believe react with vigour whence one of their own is murdered!
