Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Morning,

Want to establish the history of a shotgun I brought. I have a feeling it might have a bit of sporting history due to recent persistent interest from a 3rd party.

    Can anyone offer any direction.

  2. Whats the make and model of the shotgun? If its a famous make, then there might be some original manufacturers' records remaining indicating the original customer. If its a mass-produced gun, then there is probably zip.

You could e mail Bill Harriman c/o the shooting times, he loves this sort of thing. Many company records still exist despite the war losses and a few are available online with US companies. Makers Name?
  6. Thanks gents,

I wont post the make and model on line, because it will ping up in a search if someone else is trying to locate it.

Will look into some of these leads tho.. so thanks again.

What you have typed so far will anyway unless of course it may be stolen or a disputed inheritance?
  8. Send a PM to Alsacien and Ugly; that will not show up on an internet search. If they, or some their pals don't know, then take up underwater tiddley winks
  9. No.. all completely legit. No inheritance issues or anything like that.

    PM inbound.
