Read something recently saying Royal didnt like the idea of Army Commandos because they didn’t see them as proper marines, was just wondering if there’s a similar relationship between the Guards in 3 para and the rest of the paras?

Army commandos are not proper marines? Given the army is land based and the marines are Royal Navy... bit like saying the RAF Regiment are not proper soldie...

The Rocks are the second best infantry unit in the RAF. They used to be the third best but the WRAF no longer exists.

Well they aren't are they. AACC just means that on the day you were fit enough to do the 4 tests, a bit like you car passing its MoT. Will it pass in 10 years time.....? Doesnt do anything to make up for the other 31 weeks that make them Marines. AACC is for badge collectors so they can big time it. In the RLC people still seem to fall for it and get all damp trousered when an AACC throbber is around. Wings same detail for non Para Regt pers.

Going anywhere near 3 Para mortar platoons block usually ends in a bad thing happening. Stay away and just ignore the screams coming from within.

In 1944 one of the RM units 26th bn role was repairing damaged homes

Join up, do some courses, get sent to places where you are not popular and then reconsider your so far inconsequential existance.

Of course Army Commandos are not real Marines. The clue is in the name. I was fine with that. Same as those of us that did the French Commando course are not French.

As for opening up a can of worms, did 1 Para not evolve from the initial Commando formations, 2 Commando IIRC? I caught that on a documentary somewhere.

Actually, the Royals do not like anyone that does not display an overt appreciation of drag and cross dressing.
