Paper reports on the first time that figures on the ethnic background of those stopped by the police under Section 7. Article notes concerns from certain groups that this could be considered ethnic profiling. Article makes no conclusion on whether or not it is ethnic profiling just that it might be percieved as such.

    Meh.

  2. Are they not perhaps 42 times more likely to be islamic terrorists? That said, the Norwegians are all a bunch of complete *****!

    Next week

Squaddies in racism row by Hugh McNair looking at Arrse

After slagging those nice McCanns those nasty bastards on Arrse are at it again
Claiming that Asians are more likely to be stopped by police because in the words of Arrse "they keep blowing themselves up"
One Squaddie who has previous form for sexisim in a Lesbian thread called the Norwegians a word so vile we can't repeat it in a family newspaper
The same poster is rumered to hae used the phrase "cheers love" in 1992 in a German Naafi whist buying a newspaper
Are these the guys we really want defending the country - what hope for Afghanistan if they can't even buy a paper without reducing it to a sexist act?

  4. This is shocking stuff. Not the statistics, the fact that they've only just picked up on the story and that they actually think it's newsworthy.

  5. I'm sick of all those Norwegians, coming over here, and taking away the jobs of our home grown terrorists. They are just here today, bomb tomorrow.

  6. Yeah thats right piss off Olaf your terrorising my kids (even though I don't have any), go home but leave your blonde blue eyed sister behind, remember the vikings lads, never forget. Although apparently we now have to apologise to Norway because a certain Erik managed to stub his toe whist plundering back in 964 AD.

  7. Don't worry, it's just a non-story on a slow news day. It's not like there's 2 wars going on, not like the US is getting partly flattened by the worst twisters for 60 years and it's certainly not as if Iceland just lobbed itself 65,000 ft into the stratosphere. Priorities ;-)

  8. Has a seperatist Norweigan gone and blown himself up in Kerry Katonas local store then? They Aryans types are dangerous can't believ the police are forgetting to search them.

  9. Of course, the Guardian is absolutely right about this, the way to stop suicide bombers is to target middle-aged, white, middle-class women, they're the dangerous ones!

  10. So section 7 for the Asians, and just section 5 for the rest then?...

  11. That old chestnut again. I wonder when the rag concerned will complain about rag head terrorists racially stereotyping themselves by not allowing equal opportunities terrorism and opening their doors to all comers.

If that doughty organ of propaganda really wants to strike a blow for racial equality it should investigate why an organisation exists called the black and Asian Police Association - a sinister, divisive and by virtue of its very title, racist.

Anyway what did the Vikings ever do for us?

  13. Apart from a load of words we use to day like
    law
    egg
    berserk
    sky

and the first Vikings to land in Britain killed a tax collector (but eventually demanded 'Danegeld' to make up for it)

there is some other stuff like uniting half of Britain (there was a fair bit of killing involved in all this too)
