Grim Reapers Heritage Jet

It was last year, that the 48th Fighter Wing had Boeing F-15C Eagle and 2 x F-15E Strike Eagles painted in WW2 heritage color stripes. The two F-15E , both went stateside For rework / deep maintenance with only back to Lakenheath without it’s markings. I myself never saw either of the Strike Eagles in their color scheme but have seen the 493rd FS ’Grim Reapers’ F-15C Mount still in it’s colors. Yesterday I popped along to se the Aviano F-16C in action again with the Lakenheath lot, so here are my photos of the remaining heritage jet.

cheers

Shame they don't allow nose art any more

Found this one of the SE's that's quite striking (pun unintended). Also, because we all love a bit of F-15 porn......
