Worcester councillor quits Green Party over 'anti-Semitism' and joins Conservatives

If the claims are true and it's an issue within the Green Party itself rather than just the Worcester branch, how will this pan out?
So far a councillor has moved to the Conservatives. If more move might it influence Conservative policies?
I wonder if this will be mentioned in Politics Live and Question Time this coming week?

Although UK Greens are a minor party the Scottish Greens have a lot of influence over the SNP government.

The Green Party is an extreme left wing organisation, so examples of anti Semitism aren't exactly suprising

The whole green agenda it has is just a front for it's Marxist agenda

Agreed 100%.

Green on the outside, red on the inside.

Vote Green, get communism.

At the moment Worcester has 17 18 Cons,12 Lab, 3 2 Green and 3 Labour and Co Operative councillors. I doubt it will make much difference to local politics.
This is my favourite ; Labours Simon Cronin. Chair - Licensing and Environmental Health Committee

Anti-semitism or what it should be called' Jew Hating' is at the heart of socialism and leftist ideology as much as white supremacism is. How ever it is nearly always dressed up as criticism of the State of Israel. You can be critical of Israel's politics without being a Jew hater, but those on the left just cant.

It is ironic that at least the white supremacists are honest about Hating Jews.

God love her, she imagines the Tories are democratic and not at all racist.

Anti-Semitism? Don't be so naive.
The young lady entered politics using small marginal party because there was no realistic alternative. Remaining in the Green party she would not have even a slightest chance to be an MP while in the Conservative ranks she could dream to be not only a backbencher but even a member of HMG. Why not?

She is nice, maybe handsome but hardly can be called as splendid beauty.
Look at her predatory teeth. She can bite hard.
Though ... another Louise Griffiths also can bite hard

RIP
How far Left are her 'Conservatives' that she agrees with their policies enough to join them?

And what, exactly have her looks or other people with the same name got to do with politics?

I find some measure of agreement that perhaps she sees more opportunity with a more mainstream party, however, the reasons given for moving are interesting.

If she was only after a different party for career purposes she could have used a different excuse...
