Wonder if someone could help me out with this: If a man was killed in action during the Great War, did he posthumously receive the Victory Medal? If not, would his MiD go on his British War Medal riband instead?
Thanks in advance!

depending on the date of death and entry into theater the NOK (cant remember if the issue was automatic or they had to apply for the medals its in one of my spotter books) would recive the 1914 or 1914-15 Star, British War Medal and the Victory Medal or if they first entered a theater of war after 1st Jan 1916 and then KIA they would recieve the British War Medal and the Victory Medal so an MiD embalem if awarded would always go on the Victory Medal ribbon
