The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
Well worth a look and has some great archives TotallyCoolPix
Welcome to Flickr - Photo Sharing is great as well. I like to peruse the nude art parts....for its artisticness of course.
Totally Cool is fine, and has some really good stuff, with one proviso...
you have to like Reuters style!
I like Panoramio Panoramio - Photos of the World
It allows anyone with local pics to post them and link the corresponding map loc to it.
How about a "Sites" stickie? I prefer Deviantart, or (yes, it's Suitable For Work)
Sites like this totally piss me off. I like to think I think I'm a dab hand at taking some great shots but once I start looking at pages like "TotallyCoolPix" I quickly realise how shite I really am. It's really sad
I know what you mean, but I enjoy photography
I wouldn't let it worry you. As I hinted above, Totally Cool Pics is a promotion vehicle for Reuters' staff photographers and their associated freelancers. Along with Getty, PA, AP and AI they've got some of the world's best snappers on their book.
They've got the advantage of access, kit and knowledge that accompanied with a dash of luck makes for stunning images.
Indeed, some great images in their archive.
Some great snappers being nominated here. There's less action, but more composition: Photographer Awards View forum - Nominate Here
Great link there, I like to cry myself to sleep when I look through 500px is Photography
Interestingly enough the Russians seem to have it locked down with consistently top images. Amazing collections and a very high standard!
