Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The 'unopposed' election of Afghan President Karzai produced a fantastic cartoon in today's Times. I have included the link to the cartoon below.

    Brown, pontificating to Mandelson:

'He assumes office unopposed, has no mandate, surrounds himself with unelected cronies. Sounds fine to me'

    Satire at its best.
  2. Brilliant! Nothing more need be said.
  3. Laughing my c*** off since seeing that, very sad but very true
  4. Political cartoon of the year. Should win an award.
  5. Why are we laughing?

(Great) unelected leaders of our time:

    Hamid Karzai

    Bob Mugabe

That north Korean chappie Kim il Sung, and his Dad

    Gordon Brown

The soon to be EU President

  6. Absolute genius. Still laughing now!
  7. Private Eye had a headline, 'Robert Mugabe shock poll winner of Afghan Election!'

The Thick Of It has some superb lines. Discussing a recent cabinet reshuffle:

    'He's going to Northern Ireland.'

'But he was hoping for Transport'

'Well, tell him he's getting the fcuking bus to Stormont, Okay?'
