The grave of a veteran of the Zulu campaigns, particularly Rorke's Drift, has had his grave officially dedicated. Private James Marshall survived Rorke's Drift at the age of 21. He and two other veterans are buried in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire.

His grave was dedicated with an enscribed headstone and a Zulu dance troupe performed at the ceremony.
