GPMG T-Shirt

Ours don't - well, not lately.

Mebbe summink like:
"Our Generals haven't won a war in 30 years.
but The General wins firefights"
were you born boring or did it take years of practice to become tedious?

"GPMG" is the British army designation. There are lots of different general purpose machine guns. Why not call it by its internationally known name, the FN MAG.

I was on an overseas ex last year and at ENDEX they had us all sat out in the blazing afternoon sun cleaning weapons, and just at the point we had about finished the XO came out and told us that they couldn't take any of the leftover ammo back to the UK so we had to put the weapons back together and get down the ranges to fire it all off. Myself and the other GPMG gunners from the sections were snapped after all that cleaning as we each had about 500 link to fire off, then back to cleaning from scratch again after we'd collected all the brass up. We were still cleaning by head torch that evening

You are referring to the Fusil Automatique Léger n'est ce pas ?
In the British Army they were known as the SLR (or THAT rifle) and the GPMG (or Gimpy) the General Purpose Machine Gun, their titles being as recorded in the Infantry Training Pamphlets.
