  2. I don't know much about the tactics involved in useing military aircraft, but sending a very old tanker seems a bit if a pxss take. We are sending something but what use is it? Perhaps I can be enlightened. Does this reflect the parlous state of the RAF?
  3. Without going into any details (but without breaking OPSEC), a small number of VC10s are equipped with "sniffer" equipment to pick up radiological sampling.

There was an Air Forces Monthly article about this 'fleet within a fleet' some time ago, but for very obvious reasons, not much is publicly known about capabilities.

This is not a piss take by the Crabs, its deploying a very useful capability to somewhere where it is needed.
  4. Thanks Jim.
  5. Have they sent the one with the new stealth cloaking device and exhaust diffusing silencers and smoke extractors?
  6. I don't think movers will be required for that op.
  7. As it once was one, perhaps it will pretend to be an airliner
