Google Chrome

Very quick, quite intuitive. Tried IE7, went back to IE6. Thanks for the reminder, download site was busy earlier

Edited due to double post on refreshing Chrome, may be a downside, but it might just be me

Knowing Google's reputation with Picasa and their flaming toolbar, I'm a bit wary of trying it because of the risk of spyware/adware.

Thinking of going back to Opera, that's a nice one

Just installed it now. it seems quite fast and fairly intuitive to use.
Cant compensate for my crapppy spelling tonight though

Aparently it can. underlined my 2 deliberate mistakes

Also using Chrome. Very nice so far, unobtrusive with a 'diet' look. For those put off by past experience of Google Toolbar, it is an entirely different box of cats. It doesn't need to run any extra toolbars, as it is made by google already and therefore not needing to run alongside software made by another company.

It also has Incognito mode, ie Porn mode... doesn't save any history or anything. Very impressed so far.

If FF3 is the latest (I lose track of which we're on) then so far it's been about 3 or 4 times faster. This is with all the cookies/history imported from FF.

A useful part of it is that you can open up a 'task manager' within Chrome, which allows you to see what is eating your resources - just like looking at your Processes tab in Windows task manager only for each of your open Chrome tabs (not just Chrome as a program) instead of all windows processes.

Edited to correct grammar.

This thing is incredibly fast, I'll give it that. If it ends up with the extras in terms of add-ons that Firefox I just don't see any browser catching it--unknown bugs could make this point moot.

Tried to install it but didn't work because my connection is through a proxy server. Won't be using it till that problem is sorted out.

Using it now, very very fast. So far so good.

I'm not getting good results from it. Its not even quicker to google than FF3.
Anyone else suffering from it being slow?

The connection I am using is slow so highlights the speed between browsers more than a broadband connection.

I'm finding it v fast, even in comparison with FF3. The only thing I don't like is the lack of lazy man drop down previous list you get with IE. I do like the fast favourite pages though not as convenient as the drop down list. I assume it is something you give for the extra speed.

All in all, first impressions are v good

Still have had no joy with the speed issue which is a little odd. Other than that its good and clutter free.

There are a lot of niggling faults like for some bizarre reason it only has a text zoom and not a page zoom also a few apps are not working with it. WIP I guess.

Don't like it.

It may be (very slightly) faster than FF3, but it looks cruddy, and I like the toolbars in FF. I'll not be keeping it.
