Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Helping Our Wounded Heroes Through Golf

The National Golf Club Challenge will bring golf clubs throughout the UK together on the same weekend to hold hundreds of charity golf days. With endorsements from golfers, celebrities and many of the top golfing brands, we aim to make this the biggest AM charity golf event the UK has seen.

The challenge, to be held on 24th or 25th July 2010, will unite hundreds of golf clubs and thousands of golfers in demonstrating their support for our injured armed forces.

As well as raising a lot of money for Help for Heroes, each participating golf club will compete for the right to call itself The Help for Heroes National Golf Club Challenge Champions 2010.

    The Final
The challenge is a national club competition, culminating in a two day grand final. Participating clubs will return their top ten stableford scores from their challenge day to count as their official aggregate score. The ten golfers from each of the six top scoring clubs will be invited to play in a spectacular two day final event.

As one of the world's leading and instantly recognisable golf resorts for players of all levels, The Belfry presents a unique backdrop for The National Golf Club Challenge 2010 Final. The grand final will be held over two days, culminating in a gala dinner and presentation evening, where the 2010 Champions will be crowned.

Our event sponsors have donated some incredible prizes, which will be presented to the competing players from the top six golf clubs. A special prize will also be presented to the top fundraising golf club.
