Going to auction

This saturday I will be delivering to Wallis & Wallis Auction rooms in Lewes East Sussex a couple of ceremonial Gurkha Blades. They are unusual in that being surplus to requirements at the Gurkha Museum in Winchester my Mother in law who manages the shop has permission to auction these in aid of the Gurkha Welfare Trust. They are ceremonial in that the large Kuhkri is the type used when slaughtering the ox with one blow and the blade exceeds 2 foot in length. It is in an Indian silver decorated sheath with its accompanying small knives, sharpeners etc. At the same sale will appear an unusual Butchering blade in a similarly decorated sheath which unusually opens in a hinged manner. The photos below are unfortunately poor but I think they are magnificent. There will be a small reserve on each item but I cant tell you what it is. I have no financial gain here I just wish these to go to a good home and the profits to a worthy cause.
This is the big one.
