Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Anyone know what...

"line b problem parsing xml: 'null' is null or not an object." means?

I get this message every time I start up Internet Explorer. Doesn't seem to affect anything, but I fear it might be an indication of something slowly going wrong.

  2. OR

So it looks like it is a yahoo/homepage/sign in cache problem.

If you have Yahoo as your homepage then you deserve everything you get imo!

Could also be Yahoo toolbar.. Disable/uninstall that and see if the problem goes away.

Oh and Google can be your friend as well!
  3. TVM for that.

Of course, if you are right I wouldn't have the first idea how to go about doing the things you suggest, but at least I don't have to worry too much about it. Yahoo came with the bt broadband deal and I don't like it very much, but I haven't got a clue how I would go about changing it.

    Thanks anyway

  4. :p Wouldn't be surprised if it disappeared in the next few days or so. Once Yahoo have a couple of million complaints they MIGHT do something about it.
  5. click on tools (top right)>internet options and on the front page there's a little box for you to type in the address that you wish to set as your home page i.e arrse.co.uk, click apply and Robert's your mum's brother!!
