Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What's the general opinion of the new Glyn Hughes kitchen in Hohne, given that all are welcome...Juniors, Seniors, Officers, Wives, Kids, Civvies, Visiting Troops (German/Dutch)?
  2. very continental
  3. Fishing for compliments about your cooking per chance?
  4. Very nice with a welcoming atmosphere. Only downside was the chef's body odour and general lack of hygeine.
  5. Just curious to see what how you feel about sharing the cookhouse with every tom, dick, harry, their wife and screaming kid.
  6. Can guess yours then! :D
  7. Is this Glyn Hughes an ex Army Chef, Welsh bloke by any chance?
  8. Are you the bloke who wrote to Sixth sense?
  9. Have visited said establishment once as I wanted a cooked meal at lunchtime. Saw that choice was between dessicated "burger" and vulcanised "omelette" or, for the really adventurous, roadkill in breadcrumbs which purported to be fish. Needless to say, shan't be going back and will continue with Lard butties. Have learnt better than to complain to the staff; waste of time and effort. Explanation of the continued ineptitude and insouciance does not justify it.
  10. Yep. must be that ex army chef with the welsh accent
