Looking to join a TA regiment in Gloucestershire, probably the Sigs regiment actually in Gloucester, trouble is they never answer the phone, what's the best way to make contact, other than post?

Go along to the TA Centre on Tuesday night between 8 and 9 and speak to someone direct - that's what the phone advice would be anyway.

It's not "won't" r-b it's "can't" on account of not having sufficient staff to man the place during the working week (money again!) or so I am lead to believe by those what know.

In case that sounds like an odd time - I should have said that Tuesday night is their training night. They actually start at 7.30 and there will be someone around from before 7, but saying 8 lets them get first parade and so on out of the way. They don't finish until 9.30, but the earlier you turn up the more chance yu'll have to get the full explanation.

Good luck

It's called an ansaphone, and it really isn't that difficult to operate.

Unless, of course, you are fully recruited and don't need any more... In which case the message should be altered to give the phone number of neighbouring units.
