Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Spain has it's own problems with separatists, if it bangs this drum too loud it'll wake them up. The inhabitants of Catalonia and the Basque region regard Gibraltar as where they want to be.
  2. The basque-whackers have been getting a hard time off the French intelligence srevices and judiciary in recent years.
  3. Catalonias very nice though.

Nice little mountains to climb over.
  4. I understand that Tone was very Luvvy Dovvy with the then PM of Spain and was almost at the point of giving Gib away.

But nay sweat Daves got BALLS, Ed most likely.
  5. Its always good to quote Ceuta and Melilla to the Spanish when they start getting lippy , and if they start getting too unpleasant they will loose the desperately needed UK tourist pound , they really do have some of the most corrupt morons in power.
  6. Is it just me or do spanish speaking countries have a habit of not wanting to involve the people who actually live on the bit of land they want in the decision making.

  7. This little way of theirs inspired the masterpiece of Peter Brughel the Elder, 'The Triumph of Death' (below, detail from), when they were discussing territorial issues in the Netherlands.

  8. Very pleased Cameron isn't another Blair and has made public commitments to Gibraltar equivalent to those made to the Falklands.

    The Spanish can **** off.

    Total unemployment UK - 21.9%

    Total unemployment Spain - 51.1%

Ask the people of Gibraltar who they would prefer ruling them in light of those statistics. Then have a good day.

  12. They've already been asked. Twice. The results were near unanimous.
