Well gentlemen having never had the pleasure of meeting that fine damsel that was "the monster" I was filled with dread when told i was off to Gib Bks on cse, however the scoff was absolutely tip-top in my humble opinion.

does anyone else agree with me on that front :? :? :? :?

i have eaten in far far worse cookhouses.............deepcut immediately springs to mind.

where else have you eaten sh1te scoff whilst doing the job & put the sloppos/fitters 'n' turners in their place :? :? :? :?

I was wondering if they had opened a cookhouse annexe down on the hard??? but you would be stretching things slightly to call it a beach...

Knocker, that's odd, has the food gone up in standard? Last time I was there on my B1 in 2000 the food was awfull!

And when I tried to comlpain they said that we were just causing trouble and refused to let us write in the complaints book!

It has it's good days and bad days. But you still can't serve your self, the obnoxious slopos still put it on your plate. I wonder if anyone has done the monster and collected the pot!!!!!! hehehehe myths are cool

For anyone else that's been to Gib Bks, who remembers the cleaner that used to loiter around the showers
as young, nubile men were in scrubbing themselves down?

One of our esteemed colleagues slipped her it in the building site.

*Shudders*

We had cleaners when I went through training in 98. Must be the easiest job ever, as there was never anything for them to clean!!! I never understood that, why they had cleaners at training Regts, but never at regular units????

Ah, thing is, when I say 'Cleaner' I don't mean fit, attractive Polish or Scandanavian cleaner hired in by Sodexho to not only keep the place sparkling, but also to boost morale and shower habits of living in soldiers, I mean...

Big, fat, 18 stone (easily), warty, hairy, puss-filled sack of putrid grease and juice that you see on TV programs called 'Worlds Fattest and Ugliest'

One of our lads got talking to her as she walked her dog and son outside around the male accom. She said,
"You come down alone, si?"

So down he went.

They ended up on the building site around at the SLAM.
She had to tell her kid to go home.

He says all through it, the dog kept yapping around his ankles.

Di-fcking-sgusting.

Never saw any cleaners when I went there, when I went through on my B3 though in 94/95 there was a bloke in the swimming pool who took the river crossing type session, sounded like a perv and I think he got a kick out of saying "show me your underpants" (twas on the packing list and had to be waterproofed.... unfortunately he got to say it twce to me and a few others as we didn't have all the kit, got beasted and made to go back again in the evening!
