Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. 32 Regt liberated a couple of British guns (WW1 ish) during the conflict, which when we retired to shi(t)ber airfield post fighting, took pride of place for a big knob visit. Imagine the RSM, 2IC and Co's face when he turned up approached the guns to find a very shiny Battleaxe sticker on each one (apparently 32 didnt need MLRS for the conflict, and left 74 Bty back in Larkhill), needless to say all those from said Bty would like to thank a certain short JNCO (name begins with a "L" I think) for letting the Regt they shouldn't have been left behind!!

  2. Hmmm...I think I know what you're getting at here. You chaps were next to us on the sand at Shaibah, in some sort of large hangar. Your Adjt was a bloody nightmare...snooty so-and-so. :D

I believe that the stickers were aquired from a certain shorter Bdr (name begins with B) who stuck them all over any vehicle in the regiment which had a battleaxe member in it. Ahh those crazy axe men.
