Getting fit


I am 19, male. I am 5ft 10 and weigh 15st 9lbs. I've got a very muscular lower body (thighs and calves etc) but I have quite a fat stomough region/chest. I reckon I'm carrying 2 - 3 stones of excess fat mostly put on thanks to alcohol.

I have been exercising heavily and eating well the past three weeks and I have come down from 16st 3lbs to 15st 9lbs. I have gym membership and burn 1000-2000 calories excess every other day. I'm not actually unfit, I have reasonable stamina and endurance - I'm just fat.

I'm anxious to start the application process for the Army but I don't want to be overweight whilst doing it. I want to get to peak fitness and make the best possible impression.

If I carry on working hard, how quickly do you think I can reach my goal?

If you can't plan your own dieting regime, speshul fawses won't want YOU!

One word: the 7 'P's...

p.s don't worry about the littery phase of Selection... a 1st chapter in rough form inside 12 hours is easy enough for most inventive guys. What I did was flesh out my plot and character backgrounds on the long walks over the brecons.. saved me heaps of time.
