George Galloway: How to Arabized Britain

You get the impression from Galloway's comments that he's saying "hey Arab dictators, I am your man in the West just put up some serious money, this time" and when this is all finished in say 5-10 years we’ll probably find that Galloway/Respect/SWP were receiving monthly funding from the Middle-East.

George Galloway on Al-Jazeera earlier this week:

You know, I don't want to embarrass any particular Arab ruler, but once I spoke to a prince. I told him there were three British newspapers on sale for 100 million pounds - The Daily Express, The Sunday Express, and The Daily Star. Three important newspapers. "Why don't you buy them," I said. "You could make a foothold for a decent point of view on the Arab world, if you were to buy these newspapers." He could have bought them, but he didn't have the courage to buy them. He'd rather spend the money on other things.

You know, in London, there is enough money thrown onto the roulette tables of London's casinos by Arabs, which could buy media in America and Britain, and transform the landscape. But I tell you, the good news is this: In the desert, just a few drops of water can transform the landscape. All we need is a few drops of water, because the American and British people have no faith, no trust, in their leaders. They know that the policy of their leaders is leading them to disaster.

We need to intelligently apply the resources that we have, and people can contact me, to my e-mail, through my website, georgegalloway.com. I have many ideas on how we can do this. I just don't have any money.

Interviewer: There is identity or harmony - and some even say subordinate relations - between the American and British policies, in a way that sometimes seems detrimental to British interests, or even to the popularity of the British prime minister. Could you explain this, at least from your perspective?

George Galloway: Well, it's the same kind of relationship that Ms. Lewinsky had with the former U.S. president. It's dishonorable, disreputable, unequal, and humiliating for a once great country to be the tail of the American dog, when the head of the dog is as crazy as Bush is. It's very degrading for us. Our foreign ministry knows this very well. Our ambassadors in the Arab countries know this very well. They tell Mr. Blair, though not loud enough, not courageously enough, but he's not listening to them, because he has this special relationship with George W. Bush, which is not only degrading, but is placing our people in danger. Our interests are being sacrificed as a result, and the name of our country is being dragged through the mud everywhere in the world. We are now the third most hated country on the earth, after the United States and Israel. This is not a place that most British people want to be.

On the flipside it would probably put an end to the Daily Express obsession with Princess Diana…

No, it will replace the obsession with Princess Diana with an obsession with Dodi Fayed and how the Dead English Rose was carrying in her womb England's First Muslim Monarch had it not been for M15, the CIA, the Duke of Edinburgh, etc.

It is now a standard technique to use the very freedoms provided by a democratic society to destroy it, it was pioneered by Hitler who succeeded in a truly spectular fashion through this technique, not only destroying the Weimar Republic but grabbing a good bit of Europe outside the frontiers of Germany without fireing a shot and I presume the Right Honourable Mr George Galloway MP Respect Party has read Mein Kampf, particularly as der Fuhrer Herr Hitler's magnum opus is so popular in the Arab and Islamic World.

Actually the rumours are the Firm did in Diana, not the Office. To be honest anyone who knows anything about the Firm would know just how ridiculous the proposition is. Let's just take it as true, if they had a problem with Dodi it would have been that he was the pumped up son of a pumped up grocer, and he would have been offed. Diana would have ingested a chemical abortion, quick trip to the loo, and still be bringing up her boys. Its the same conspiracists that on the one hand say it was an (old) Firm operation, then on the other hand discuss whether Cornwall has secretly become muslim. Perleeease.

"Oh that Cornwall" says Cuddles

It's really a good job Charles made that speech at Al Ahzar (and humble salute of peace and bow of the neck indicating humility), at least we have one person in a position of power who has, how do the French say it, 'savvy'.

Galloway, like many on the left, has merely traded in communism for militant Islamism as the vehicle through which to destroy the capitalist Western democracy that he has done so well out of.

That’s not all. On Iraq War, “These poor Iraqis,” Galloway said of the insurgents who have murdered British troops, “ragged people with their sandals, with their Kalashnikovs . . . are writing the names of their cities and towns in the stars.” One assumes that he is speaking how he thinks Arab people speak and it has turned out like a sort of Ba’athist equivalent of Peter Sellers doing Goodness Gracious Me.

But you wonder how far Galloway’s patent loathing of the British state now extends to all of its subjects as well. He can’t actually wish British soldiers — or crusaders, as he has helpfully called them — to be killed, can he?

Galloway (on Al-Jazeera TV, July 31, 2005): This started out as a wish to terrorize the world with American power, or as Sharon would say: "Terrrrrrorize" the world with American power. But in fact it ended demonstrating the exact opposite. They can control the skies, but only if they don't come within range of an RPG, but they can't control one single street in any part of occupied Iraq. Not one street. Not one street anywhere. These poor Iraqis - ragged people, with their sandals, with their Kalashnikovs, with the lightest and most basic of weapons - are writing the names of their cities and towns in the stars, with 145 military operations every day, which has made the country ungovernable by the people who occupy it. We don't know who they are, we don't know their names, we never saw their faces, they don't put up photographs of their martyrs, we don't know the names of their leaders. I'm sure, for all the times I spent in Iraq, that I never met any of them before. They are not the comfortable in the former regime, they are not the leaders, with maybe one exception: Izzat Ibrahim Al-Durri. They are the base of this society. They are the young men and the young women who decided, whatever their feelings about the former regime - some are with, some are against. But they decided, when the foreign invaders came, to defend their country, to defend their honor, to defend their families, their religion, their way of life from a military superpower, which landed amongst them. And they are winning the war. America is losing the war in Iraq, and even the Americans now admit it. Even the puppet ministers and regime in Baghdad know it. The former puppet minister (Iyad) Allawi admitted it three times in the last month. America is losing the war in Iraq. And this will not change. The resistance is getting stronger every day, and the will to remain as an occupier by Britain and America is getting weaker everyday. Therefore, it can be said, truly said, that the Iraqi resistance is not just defending Iraq. They are defending all the Arabs, and they are defending all the people of the world from American hegemony.

Well he may have to adjust his ideology slightly. While Islam does not like usury, it was established by a trader, and is all about trade (it spread more often by trade routes than by the sword, at least eastward). From what I know Islamic banking is more akin to investment banking than our credit based system. While Islam does attempt (was intended) to provide equity, to believe that Islam is anti capital (either fiscal or social/intellectual) is not true. There is nothing wrong with a profit in Islam, just not false profits

Well I have to say this vile man certainly has a way with the ladies. My wife, her friend and daughter met him and his new wife last weekend and still thinks he's rather dishy (she already did as it happens it just affirmed it when she spoke with him in the cafe), so he does seem to have a certain charisma. Funnily enough in light of the Big Brother appearance the friend's daughter is reported to have said 'You're that man off Big Brother, you were really funny.'

Well I suppose, your Wife, her friend and daughter are not Arab Muslim Women liveing in an Arab Muslim country so they would not have to worry about things like a husband tieing them up, pouring petrol over them and setting them allight if e.g. a wife objects to their husband takeing a second wife when he has not enough money to support one wife and their children.

Erm, now I'm a liar am I. My wifes father is from Hebron, my wife's mother is from a small village outside Jerusalem called Bethsafafa. Not exactly sure of where her friend is from but its somewhere in the same region (i.e. Sham).
