Some of the losers are getting a bit upset in London right now...
I wonder is old Bugsy was there, waving his little placard and thinking that he was making a difference.

I'll leave this here for the moment . . .

From the TELEGRAPH.

I would've thought their placards with "Socialist Worker" atop would place them firmly with the wasters in the SWP.
Aren't they simply one and the same? I'd be amazed if at least some of them didn't wear two hats.

Are the RSDG still known as the Greys?
They're known as the Scots DG. But they want you to think Greys (hence the grey beret).

When we and they were in Paderborn/ Sennelager in the late 70s, they told me they all cut the carbines from their amalgamated badge cap badge to just leave the eagle.

Two Jewish families I am friends with were openly talking of leaving the UK had Jezbollah become PM.

Neither of them are given to flights fo fancy.

I helped out with the school run one day, and it was a valuable experience to understand normal life. Having to have a permanent security post on the school gate, and Community Safety Trust organised security guards.

During the most recent exchange of rockets, I must admit I was watching daily wondering if Jez was going to give his opinions. Some party staff must have had him under close control.
I spoke to a Jewish friend of mine at a martial arts class this evening - he is very happy with the election results and said that he really didn't want to emigrate as it was a lot of hassle.I think he was serious about planning for that eventuality though. He is ex-army however and a sound bloke - not the sort who is prone to panic, but it does give an insight into how the Jewish community consider things which wouldn't even affect most non-Jews.

I was in basic in 76, one of the lads in my intake was RSDG. He was wearing a blue beret till trade training. One of the Greys Sgts turned up, gave him his grey beret and told him to cut the carbines off his badge.
