But here's what they do now & there are more on the way…

Just like :santa:

Bedford QLB Bofors Gun Tractor
Bedford QLD General Service
Bedford QLR Wireless
Bedford QLT Troop Carrier
Chevrolet C15A Personnel Lorry (Cabs 12 and 13)
Chevrolet C30A General Service (Steel body) - nice build
Chevrolet C60L General Service
Chevrolet C60S Petrol Tank (Cabs 12 and 13)
Chevrolet Field Artillery Tractor FAT-4
Scammell Pioneer R100 Artillery Tractor
Scammell Pioneer SV2S Heavy Breakdown Tractor

& most available from UK suppliers
There are a few of the better known Brit/Commonwealth trucks, including the Ford WOT 6 & 8. The point I am making, is where are the others? The only plastic utility is the Tamiya Austin, no Ford, Hillman or Standard. Where are the searchlight trucks like the Crossley IGLB, or the Thornycroft FABX; the pontoon carriers such as the Leylands, Thornycrofts (again), Karriers. Other than Bedford MW's, where are the other 10-15cwt workhorses? No Morris Commercials, Guy, Commer, Fords. Time the balance was redressed.

IBG do some nice Commonwealth subjects, though you usually have to source aftermarket wheels, likewise with Thunder Models. ICM has given us WOT6 and 8 and there is a hint at a Leyland Retriever soon, they do seem to like cars and trucks so hopefully anything that can be linked to ostfront/beute, for the larger sales market, could be on the cards. A K2Y in plastic as used by all commonwealth in every theatre, the yanks, soviets and Axis forces has to be a good seller, (though it would mean another of Accurate Armours kits getting binned)

IBG have also announced the imminent arrival of a Bedford QL Tanker/Refueller in 1/35th followed later
by the Refueller with Booms.

I just own an MWR not an MWD. Quite enough. Chore Horse is stored in the doorstep locker not at the rear. The idea was that the radio batteries under the radio table were charged by an auxiliary dynamo under the floor driven by the gearbox PTO. Power was directed from that dynamo’s control box in the body to individual banks of batteries through the charging control board..

A fundamental element of the 15cwt FFW truck’s design was that the canopy and frame could be removed and with added legs and canvas aprons, be used as a comms tent. The radio, table, control board and batteries could be removed from the truck and placed in the tent with the chore horse then used to charge the batteries instead of the MWRs auxiliary dynamo
