GC for the Corps

Good effort proud moment again for the Corps. Top news - mega for the blokes involved and mega for the Corps. I hope the Corps rag decides to include these guys on the front cover with an awesome write up as opposed to the last MC we won relegated to 5 pages in with the names mispelt.

Bumped - to highlight the achievements of some good operators in the Corps and to counterbalance the interminable and howlingly negative posts regarding PRB (GE). If you want an example of that which is good in our Service as a whole and the Corps - in this instance - specifically, then hold these men up as exemplars. Well done to one and all whose dedication and courage have been recognised.

Congrats to Capt Norton, Lt Col Seddon, Capt Bratcher (and the 67 others on the list).

Capt Norton's citation, in particular, leaves one feeling overwelmed. The man himself is typical of the EOD carde who daily put thier lives on the line. A thoroughly deserved honour and couldn't have been given to a nicer bloke.

So good to have something to celebrate for a change.

Glad to see they saw them. Nice to see write-ups happen for the trade, write-ups usually the stuff of the wedge.

God speed all on the list, good for them.

I saw a mention for Bratch in the first few pages of the corps rag, but nothing for Pete, haven't read it all though. I just couldn't, its like the A34 in the morning, a huge line of lorries.

Anyone brave enough to get past the first 10 pages and see a mention of Pete?

It's there alright. You don't even have to look hard, just look when you're not driving and it's jump out at you, before Bratch's

The GC on the front cover looked to me like a bit of an afterthought. I suspect the Corps Rag having proudly put skiing on the front cover nearly forgot the GC and MC and did some hasty internet research before going to print - the pictures on the inside looked suspiciously pixilated and of very low resolution. Just thought that was a bit strange given there was an Army photographer at the presentation.

That said, to be fair, did 11 Regt or Corp HQ volunteer any articles or were the editing team left on their own to do it....?
