I suppose there are ways and means for raising concerns and if he felt that strongly he could resign and make a statement to the house. Leaking info from the security council isn't going to win anybody any friends.

My thoughts too. I'm wondering if the contracts were going to be kept secret and that he's effectively a whistleblower.

Hero- he has highlighted yet another terrible decision by TM to expose uk it infrastructure to Chinese govt abuse - sadly MPs on all sides of the house haven’t challenged TM on her decision in preferment to seeking another govt minister sacked/leaving the cabinet

Shame really, I met him in Afghanistan and while he was like a schoolboy in his enthusiasm, he was very pro military - I actually quite liked him, for a politician.
