A FM and construction services organisation that work closely with the MOD are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Manager to be based on a garrison site in Aldershot. Applicants should have procurement experience within FM, construction or property service. Experience of using JCT forms of contract, and excellent stakeholder management skills are also important requirements.

The Garrison Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for delivering an effective procurement service delivery to the garrison in accordance to wider procurement strategies. The Garrison Supply Chain Manager will perform all aspects of procurement including supplier approval, preparation of tender document evaluation, contract negotiation, formulation and management of a range of goods and services. This position will involve the use of JCT forms of contract, and predominately hard FM and small construction works contracts. The demands of this role will require the Garrison Supply Chain Manager to have excellent stakeholder management skills. Specific responsibilities of the Garrison Supply Chain Manager include:

1. Ensures that effective procurement activity is completed to deadlines.
2. Perform supplier and sub contractor assessment
3. Contract management - JCT contracts for small construction works and hard FM.
4. Lead and undertake the required tendering, negotiation and placement of major subcontracts
5. Formulate and execute procurement strategies
6. Liaise closely and maintain strong working relationships with the Garrison teams.
7. Liaise with Central Procurement staff to identify potential pan-garrison and category management strategies
8. Supplier management

Prospective Garrison Supply Chain Managers should satisfy the following criteria:

1. Substantial procurement experience within a facilities management (FM), construction, building management or property services environment
2. Experience using JCT forms of contract
3. Staff management experience
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills
5. Stakeholder management experience
6. Supplier and contract management experience
6. Commercial acumen
