Galloway gets on the airwaves

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. QUOTE:
He said: "Most politicians - and most politics - are boring. I don't think even my worst enemy could call me that."

NO, cnut fits the bill pretty nicely.

  2. I can't stand the bloke but he did make me chuckle when he appeared on The Steve Wright Show on radio 2 a couple of weeks ago. Wrighty asked him if he thought that Gordon Brown would ever become Prime Minister. He replied that he thought he would but it would be similar to Callaghan inheriting the PM's job from Wilson as Labour were about to lose the next election. Galloway then said there would be little difference in the style of leadership between Blair and Brown and went on to quote a ''little old lady'' from Aberdeen who had announced at a public meeting '' Blair and Brown, 2 cheeks of the same arse''

  3. This will be worth tuning in for, all he'll get is abuse. I wonder if he'll last 6 weeks?

Mind you the guy hes replacing, Mark Keen, is a complete and utter bore.

What would be fascinating is if they lined him up for a slot prior to Charlie Wolf, our resident neocon Yank, id pay to see them go at each other!

  4. Cannot stand the man either. Although the standing of his ground at the US hearings was admittedly 'admirable' if anything, he has given more reasons not to like him than to like him, even his "mates" are put off him. The only times I would be willing to listen anything about Galloway is if I'm forced to, he's on the end of a virtual or verbal kicking or it's an announcement on his demise. There's even a site for those who think 'even less ' of the man.

    :D

  5. Im Bethnal Green born & bred. Galloway who is MP for my home turf is only there for one reason. Ona King was Labour MP for Bethnal Green for years, an absolute shite & Labour MP. Galloway was only voted in to rid the area of King. Next election he will be gone, He has served hes purpose now.

  6. Hasn't he captured the Muslim vote in the area though ??

  7. He did but after Big Brother he has lost alot of support. Odds on he will be gone next election. Bethnal Green has always been Labour (Arggh Spit) and no doubt it will go back to Labour.

  8. Apparently hes considering standing as a Scottish Socialist Party candidate for the Scottish Parliament.

I actually bumped into him a few weeks ago at Euston station and he tried to do the whole Fellow-Muslim-Brother thing but I wasnt having any of it.

Turns out he was on my train back to Manchester but I didnt spot him, he was probably in first -lass knowing him.

Theres definitely a shifty side to him though, I wouldnt trust him.

  9. You didn't see him because he was on the gravy train.

  10. I must be mellowing in my old age, I can even listen to Tony Benn for more than five seconds without throwing things at the tv. Mind you he's more on the backburner now. Interestingly (or not) I've just been to his site and got this:

This website is currently unavailable as it is being completely redesigned to add new content during 2005. Thanks for your patience.

Galloway has something, I don't know what it is but I don't want to see him, listen to him or even read about him unless he's being insulted. Somebody voted for him, ok to get rid of some dead wood but he's dead wood himself now. He's not stupid or he doesn't think he is and he can't be trusted but then he's a politician so what do you expect.

I'm sure he'll be around to annoy people for some time to come, maybe not always as a politician but then there's always the Krankies Christmas Show or being tucked away on a radio show somewhere or planning his next trip, as Baghdad is no longer on his freebies list, Tehran maybe. I wonder if he could use his Air Miles, he must have a few by now.

  11. I was under the impression he was going to stand for the next president of Egypt
