Galloway banned from Canada

He shouldn't be banned for the reasons stated - they are just playing into his hands.
However, he should be banned from all civilised nations for being a c*nt.

Beautiful, beautiful!! :D

Mr Galloway was due to give a speech in Toronto on March 30 but has been deemed 'inadmissible' to Canada under section 34(1) of the country's immigration act.

Mr Kenney's spokesman Alykhan Velshi said the act was designed to protect Canadians from people who fund, support or engage in terrorism.

The minister has the right to issue special exemption permits but will not do so in Mr Galloway's case.

Mr Velshi said: 'We're going to uphold the law, not give special treatment to this infandous street-corner Cromwell who actually brags about giving 'financial support' to Hamas, a terrorist organisation banned in Canada.

'I'm sure Galloway has a large Rolodex of friends in regimes elsewhere in the world willing to roll out the red carpet for him. Canada, however, won't be one of them.'

I can see GG getting rich (again) from out of court settlements for libel/slander. :)

You think he can sucessfully sue Canada? I'd love to see the court hearing for that one.

Edit: Good drills canucks.

His lawyers have proven time and time again to have very sharp pencils. What angle they take, if any, will depend on the opportunities afforded to them by the Canadian legal system.

He didn't make any cash, but his US Congressional hearing performance was a sight worth watching...

So they'll be sealing their southern and western borders, then? Thought not.

No surprise it was after lobbying by the Jewish Defence League. So far as those pricks are concerned, not slavishly following Tel-Aviv's line is tantamount to committing a second holocaust. Their representative and Gorgeous George have just been on CH4 news having a go at each other, and a pretty disgusting spectacle it was all round.

For god's sake just ignore the twat. Publicity just makes him rich and encourages more of his pish.

Rather famously he supported Sadam Hassein and he has encouraged people to kill British troops.

Makes him a traitor in my book PTP, but you can disagree if you want.

Wouldn't it be nice if a problem was found with his UK passport and we were unable to re-admit him to the country

Well, the way I see it is that it is their country, and if they have decided, within the laws of their country, that they don't want him in, then that is a matter entirely for Canada.

What did he actually say. Did he make statements that could be regarded as treasonous against the Government and the Crown?

I would suggest if he had, he'd have been banged up in Belmarsh since longtime.

As for saluting Saddam's indefatigability, well here's a shocker, so do I. Anyone that can go out like that on the end of a rope with head held high and a curse on his lips deserves a salute, never mind the way his sons went out.

Not sure that he ever did "support" Hussein. But we and the Yanks seemed quite keen to pal up with Hussein at one time too. He is no traitor. Lots of other things, I agree, but you can't go around making baseless charges like that.

The guy is an absolute idiot. His only arguement as to why he supports Hamas is because it is democratically elected. Hitler was democratically elected technically, doesn't mean his actions were supportable. He also supports Hezbollah, who's aim it is to see Israel wiped off the map. :x

and exactly how much chance does Hezbollah have of realising it's aims?

Really what has that got to do with anything? If he was supporting the BNP or the KKK would you be arguing the point quite so voiciferously?

Saw the pair of them on Channel 4 news. Both I would deem smug and odious. Far to fond of hearing their own voice by far...

Just watching them both now.

Mark Weinstein - Holocaust mentioned and 6mil Jewish people killed - check
Iran mentioned and castigated -check

Galloway - All you neo-con knobs are fcuked -check.

I dislike Galloway intensely, but once again , he came across as reasonable while the opposition came across as rabid one-tuners. When will they learn?

Well he was thrown out of the Labour Party for inciting people to rise up against British Troops in 2003. See link:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3205889.stm

He has never denied or retracted those statements. Calling for a jihad against our troops is pretty strong as far as I am concerned - of course convicting and banging someone away for treason is pretty difficult to achieve even for this government.

Ashie, we did pal up with Hussein at one time - but that was before we realised he was a fruitcake who liked invading neighbours and gassing his own people. Similarly, at one stage we believed Hitler was a man we could negotiate with, Uncle Joe Stalin was a nice ally and Robert Mugabe was the saviour of Rhodesia. History is littered with examples whare nations have changed their minds about people and leaders. It is about timing - Galloway was openly supporting Hussein long after the rest of the world noticed he may have strayed into Kuwait.

With you on all of that but lets not beat about the bush, the man is a repugnant excuse for a human being, who is only interested in his own self promotion.

I hope he dies of cancer of the colon and drowns in his own pish.
