Maybe thats why we might be doing it, to ensure that when its over, we can keep reminding the future government of Libya how much we cared and helped, we lost Gaddafi and his oil, so we have to start grooming the next generation of leaders. Or maybe we are just nice.

True, well the taliban didnt exist in the 80's, northern alliance types did, and there still fighting on our side today. But we're not pushing this lot into it, possibly we hope this time round they will be more receptive if they are the ones who took the intiative. And it looks good helping the freedom fighters bring democracy and all that.
