The heart of the site is the forum area, including:
So what do you think will be the future classic cars in around 20/30 years?
Peugeot 205 1.9 Gti
Ford (1st generation) XR3i
VW Golf GTI
Vauxhal Astra GTE
Almost any Cosworth badged car inc the merc 190
Toyota MR2 (1st generation)
Ford Fiesta Super Sport (for runner to the XR2)
Peugeot 405Mi16 (just cos i had one and shouldnt have sold it )
Got to agree with the Fiesta many years ago I was reading a fast ford mag there was a Mk1 Escort RS turbo for sale delivery mileage only and that was in the region of 9K back then.
Exactly, these cars have been abused and fiddled with, then crashed by boy racers/chav's, you try finding an original one!
I did see an XR2 on ebay last year for £50 really was temped but had a garage full of scooter parts if not would have had it! owned two of them in the past loved them
Anything with 'Audi' and 'Quattro' on it that doesn't run on tractor fuel!
In particular S3's...
Forgot one, if its hasnt rusted to bits or blown up, the Renault 5 GT Turbo, have to agree with the Quattro comment.
What about the Lotus Carlton?
Mercedes-Benz 190 (any)
Spen King Range Rover (original 2 door)
Ford Escort Mark 2
Wah or what??
I'd agree with that, and also add the Wessex V6 Capri too. I nearly had an unmolested original one a couple of years ago, wish I'd bought it when I had the chance.
We're talking 30 years hence - the R8 won't be new then. And there's 3 of the buggers in my (relatively) small town.
The Magentis is worthy of inclusion - in 30 years time, minicab drivers all over the UK will get all misty-eyed.
