For a long time there was a rumour the white fleet helicopters we use for logistics were paying the Taliban Council in Quetta for protection which would explain their lack of evasive flying.
After the one was brought down in Sangin, maybe this was wrong, or Abdul is getting his arrse kicked for bringing down the wrong chopper.
And contractors in Iraq weren't paying off the local militias either....
Wonder if the SFO will investigate this one like they did the Saudi Tornado project if it is shown that British money is being used to pay off the Taliban? Doubt it.
