Only at a glance viewing,

1 Scots to Belfast, where? and whom is replacing 1 Scots at Dregorn?
Should remain at Dreghorn so 2 Scots Units (1 Scots Dreghorn/RHF Penicuik*) can keep the Rifles in check & Redford is only Partial closure with Calvary Bks can be multi-used by TA & regular Unit thus keeping 3 x Infantry units in Edinburgh Garrison.

*Unless Glencorse is finalling closing which i doubt due to investment & rebuild to house RHF.

Removing all 3 x PDIC from "Central London*" to join their own Units which will still be close but keeping them within a commutable distance (1 hour) of London to allow PD's to continue will free up central london availabilities for visiting Units, periodicle Kings Troop visits and course personnel.
* reducing costs but still allowing the RHQ's to remain

more can be adjusted i'm sure.

Rifles are moving to Dreghorn. 51 Bde and company of A&SH moving to Redford. RHF staying at Penicuik.

THis means that the units in Edinburgh are playing musical chairs with 1RRS dipping out with a punishment posting to Belfast. I wonder how many RRS families want to start a new life in Ulster, buy property, get career jobs etc. I bet that the requests for transfer and/or sign off are many. If I were still with the Bn I would be going married unaccompanied with a stack of transfer request ready to drop in. Hardly a wsay to stabalise any unit.

If units can circulate through a nice sunny posting like Cyprus, why cant the units from that Div/large regiment not also take on the dead end posting of Belfast? If they can live with one of the final good postings then IMO they should take the bad.

Aren't the RMPs in their own brigade?

Isn't 5 Regt RA moving to Int & Surveillance Brigade?
Correct (according to the current spreadsheet, that I have open on my desktop at the moment - V17.3 Draft). There is still some work to do on some of the orbats and whilst future locations have been largely decided and announced, some of the resubordinations have not been finally confirmed. The problem with cutting and pasting from multiple local sources is that the information that each of the sources publish may not be (a) the full picture, (b) the up to date picture, (c) the originator's errors are cut and paste with the info (incorrect unit titles etc.)

Somewhat confusingly, whilst the OP says "this should be it", only some of the command relationships are shown. If you didn't know better, the way it displays would make 1 Intelligence and Surveillance Bde, bigger and more capable, with more Arms and Services than 1(UK) Armd div is now.

In the words of my last Dir "Not bad work lad, nearly there, show again, after lunch and we'll see where you are" -meaning his lunch (and not mine, as I would be working up the next version).

Is there not sufficient room to House both a PDIC of A&SH & Rifles between a partial Redford & Cavalry Bks combined? there's enough TAC in the area to accommodate what Cavalry are unable to.

1RRS yet again being screwed over & agreed it'll be interesting how many wish to make the move and I agree transfer requests to other Scot's units/attatched Units will thrive, similar feedback from 1SG moving from Catterick to Aldershot thus being further away will depend if they can retain their manning levels?

I took the time off my own key work to write this up. Many of you aren't even saying thank you.

You asked for constructive input & replies not a thank you, and you should have left your original post and given time.

Patience is the key for such a post (as your original) to be subjected to lengthy debate, suggestions and criticism.

I can't quite believe you're hitting the Report Post button and whining that no-one is saying thank you and complaining about arrogant posters. Let me get this straight, you cobbled all this together, created an account, logged in, started a new thread and sat back and waited for the plaudits to rain in? Were you commissioned to do this work? Did someone ask you to do it as favour? No? Therse's your answer then.

Look if all you are doing is criticising what I took time to write, that you are lazier than most people. If you don't like this, then write up your own bloody post.
