Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What is a 'full regain' as described in the all arms commando course. Am just rejoining the TA after a few years gap and haven't come across this phrase before. Thanks! :)
  2. When leopard crawling a rope you must drop to full arms length, hang by your hands, and then swing back up on to the rope until you are once again laying on top again with one leg hanging to balance
  3. Yes mate! It will be done on one of the balance wires over "The Tank" you will have to shift from the correct moving position to the hang by arms and legs then "Regain" into the moving position before continuing along the wire. Like this but in full kit http://admin.royalnavy.mod.uk/upload/img_400/DSC_0065.jpg
  4. Thanks guys! Have done thios in the past but didn't realise it was called this! Doh! All the best :)

half regain you leave your legs on the rope, so you don't have to hoick them up to start to regain balance.
