The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can anyone help...

I am finishing my FTRS in May and i am currently ill and will be for between 6-12 months, i called APC Glasgow and was told that i will be released from my FTRS and it will be up to my TA unit to sort me out. What will the TA do for me job wise? Do they have to employ me untill i am fully fit?

Nothing, I should think. Why should they?

  5. As a result of the job you did on FTRS or other circumstances?
I don't know, but would hazard a guess that there is nothing they can do for you unless your illness can be attributed to your FTRS.

  6. you will have to sign on the sick with the dhss i'm afraid, that is if your ftrs contract is expiring

  7. I know a soldier who got injured during training and eventually the TA paid her whilst she was off sick, but she wasn't FTRS and they paid out as it prevented her from doing her normal 9-5 job.

I suggest you speak to someone at SABRE to see how you stand, I suspect it will not be the answer you'd like.

    Good luck, whatever the outcome.

  8. Injured during training being the key
