FTRS pay.

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Quick one.

Looking at an FTRS engagement. What would be a ball park figure for the annual salary of a newly promoted infantry l/cpl. I looked on the website but it gave a large pay bracket then started talking about specialist pay, high band/low band, etc. I have no specialist quals and haven't been made up long.

Before anyone starts I know they're cutting back on FTRS but let's assume for the sake of this question that there is one open to someone like myself.

  2. Is the job FTRS (HC) or FTRS (FC)?

To paraphrase msr - ask your PSAO.

Your increment level will be the same as your TA one, so have a look at your TA payslip.
  4. If It is FTRS (FC) then is your TA pay plus the X factor which is 14%. If it is FTRS (HC) then there is no X factor.
  5. Cheers guys I'll get onto my PSI next week.
