  1. As an Asian friend put it,
"All my friends and colleagues want to have are good jobs, good family's, good houses, have great holidays and be well off - how would an army career provide that ?"
He's not anti military, far from it, he's just pointing out to the trendys that actually, it's not that attractive and no amount of positive discrimination will change that.

  2. You're going to have to remind me of my prediction, I'm afraid.

  3. Le Pen's niece will not seek re-election as French lawmaker
Seems there are some divisions within the FN and Marion won't be running next month. The article states she is much closer to JM Le Pen than Marine. "This will create a huge disappointment.... Marion represented a hope for the future for many FN voters and activists," Jean-Marie Le Pen told Le Figaro:

  4. So Trump is elected, there's riots. Le Pen is elected, nothing.

  5. COSHH Locker open perchance??

    1 Macron was elected

2 There were protests and public disorder from the usual suspects**

**Apparently it wasn't anti fascist enough to not vote in Le Pen - they should have voted somebody else except Macron.
As there were only 2 choices I think its clear that the cretins are the usual "Democracy only counts if our candidate wins" rentamongs and so can probably be disregarded

  6. Well, that's her out then.
    Marion Out

If the link offends you, it's in the Mail as well.

  7. U.S. increasingly convinced that Russia hacked French election: sources
US Int Officials state Russia is behind the hacking in the French election. No evidence other than their statements. "We gave them a heads up ... "Look, we're watching the Russians, we're seeing them penetrate some of your infrastructure'," Rogers said. "Europeans may be more resistant to Russian meddling because they've been on the front lines and have experienced more of it since World War II," one of the U.S. officials said.:

  8. Not very well then as their horse in the race didn't win.

  9. If at first you don't succeed............

Maybe there is truth in the statement "Europeans may be more resistant to Russian meddling because they've been on the front lines and have experienced more of it since World War II,"

  10. I think more to do with the official electioneering blackout in the French media for the 48 hours before the vote, someone didn't foresee that and left it a bit late to influence things.

  11. I think she is playing a blinder, she steps out for the next few years with the very valid reason of looking after her young kids (no one in France would dare criticise that ) and at any time she can come back at a very high level, even leadership of the party. The battles of the next five years will place the FN or what ever it will be called then in a much better position and Marion would not have been tainted by any of the internal brutal hatchet work which will no doubt have gone on in modernising the party.

She is 27, she will be a potential political contender for at least 30 years. Smart girl, did I mention she was also pretty?

  13. My Facebook feed is awash with love for Macron from my left leaning friends and acquaintances and their equally shrill and hysterical Facebook friends.

Macron is alumnus of a series of elite education institutions, a senior civil servant and an investment banker.
The same left leaning Faceachers would surely brand a UK politician with a pedigree like that: an evil fascist pedo monster heartless establishment bawbag rich privileged Tory.....bastard.

    Edited for grammar.

I reckon there is truth in that.
