Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Marine Le Pen, Front Nationale

    180 vote(s)
  2. Alain Juppé, Republicans

    22 vote(s)
  3. Nicolas Sarkozy, Hot wife

    11 vote(s)
  4. François Hollande, Socialist

    5 vote(s)
  5. Others: French Commies etc.

    19 vote(s)
  1. Jessa of course.
Well that the local mill-tant rep keeps telling me.
  2. Just a minor edit for clarity sakes.
  3. Because this is Arrse and they are firmly trapped in the first half of the 20th century when things like that mattered.
Just you wait until the outrage starts when we get a black general.

Given your prediction on Le Pen. I'd let this one go and sit quietly.
  5. You'll have to remind me of my prediction, I'm afraid.
  6. Bon chance la France... je m'excuse... a l'Europe. Avec Macron léchant le cul de l'état European.

  7. I see Wee Nippy sent a message of congratulations to your man Macron. Acting like a de facto head of state?

  10. Isn't that the point?
  11. It'll happen - just got to get through CLM first.
  12. I thought we had already had one, or rather I had assumed that was the case

Google reveals that the highest ethnic minority is a Brigadier.

Obviously despite a diversity drive and (unsuccessful ) attempts to recruit from the minority recruits this is of course embarrassing non inclusive / racist etc -

I suppose it may be a factor - but not recruiting sufficient potential "General rank" recruits would appear to me to be a more likely issue

  13. Since they refusued to even give a fig leaf cover of reform for CMD I doubt they'll bother, even now.
  14. They are open to reform, as long as nothing changes. Since the Brexit referendum there has been much talk of reform, but no specific ideas or suggestions, just talk about the need for reform.

  15. They are open to reform, as long as it applies to working-class people in Greece and certain other countries, and not to people employed in Brussels and Strasbourg.
