Having just won one of @Auld-Yins famous competitions, I have to make some space. Free to a good home:
The Wellington Bomber, Chaz Bowyer - classic study of a Barnes Wallis' enduring design.
Panzers in Russia 41-43, Bruce Quarrie - an Airfix style photo album. Very good, but I have two.
Invasion 1940, Peter Fleming - good for all those fanbois out there.
Knight's Cross, David Irving - Rommel (wasn't he great?) I have two so one has to go.
Gallipoli, L A Carlyon - great history of a disaster and the go to book when I was on exchange in Sydney to put the Colonials back in the box.
Invasion '44 - J F Turner, a classic.
Desert Rats, John Parker - an up to date history of 7 Armd Div/7 Armd Bde. Never served with them, they bore me to death............
Foot Regts of the Imperial Guard, M G Head - Almark. You know, the lot we smashed at Waterloo.
The War the Infantry Knew - Capt J C Dunn. Superb book about 2 RWF in WW1, quite possibly the best book you could ever read about ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances.
SOE in France, MRD Foot, Official History - awesome. Again, I have two so one must go.
Avro Vulcan, Robert Jackson - great history of the flying wing. Who knew the early Nazi version was powered by a coal burning ramjet?
Guy Gibson, Richard Morris - difficult mission, difficult man, an excellent and sensitive biography.
These are free to the first askers or they go to the Presteigne charity shops in a week's time!
