Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Apologies if this is in the wrong place if so perhaps a MOD could move it.

Its about time more was done to recognise the efforts of those on the front line.

Marlboro Hotel Blackpool Free Weekends Offer Linky

It then goes on to list available dates..

Hats off to this hotel for the offer.......
  2. And for forces in London, Richmond RFC and London Scottish offer free entry (I think) to their games.

    Edited for being a muppet:

In response to General Sir Richard Dannatt’s plea for the country to be more supportive of the Armed Forces, especially those returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, both Richmond & London Scottish are pleased to advise that, with immediate effect, they will offer free entrance to 1st XV matches for those currently serving in the Armed Forces, including Reservists, on production of suitable ID.

The clubs recognise that this is a small token of support, but they have a proud association with the Armed Forces with over 250 members who gave their lives in the two World Wars. These and others are remembered annually at a ceremony on Remembrance Sunday when a minute’s silence is observed by the over 500 Minis who play at the Athletic Ground at that time.

Currently, London Scottish has particular links with the London Scottish Regiment (TAVR) who have completed several tours of Iraq and Afghanistan. Richmond is affiliated to H.M.S. Richmond and their Ship’s Company was welcomed to the ground in 2005 whilst on an official visit to the town.
