Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. BBC News

Currently linked from the front page. Good article, I thought. This is the sort of publicity we need.

  2. Stunning effort that man.
  3. Good article and some good comments from Jo Public. Having done a tour and my Brother having done 2 I can honestly say that it isn't as bad as the media imply. The challenges are enormous but not insubmountable.
  4. Im an expat, and living in Canada we only tend to see the American view. Like the Brits, the canadians dont really say too much about operations, or about the good views.

It was refreshing to get a soldiers view of Iraq, and that he saw good things happen.

    Good job.
  5. Excellent article. It gives both the pros and cons of doing a tour in Iraq; a well-balanced article. I like the way he highlighted what a great start the Army has given him, and how it has helped him in civvy street. This is what recruiters need to be pointing out; the long-term benefits.
