Former French president Sarkozy 'held'

I suspect nothing will come of it. He's a good little europhile and will probably get a job in the EU commission.

It will end up like, laws are for the little people as is tax.

Christine Lagarde avoids sentence despite guilty verdict in negligence trial

Christine Lagarde has been found guilty of negligence in approving a massive payout of taxpayers’ money to controversial French businessman Bernard Tapie but avoided a jail sentence.
Christine Lagarde whilst enjoying her not unsubstantial tax free salery was lecturing the Greek population back in circa 2010 that they would have to accept deep austerity and cuts. A truly vile woman.

Personified, very well, by Jody Foster in "Elysium."

Must be hung like a T. Rex to have trapped the ntombezaan pictured. Unless he was standing on his wallet to motorboat her and his tiny hands made his jiloag look bigger.

Just caught the tail end of a talk show earlier on, it seems that Mediapart have been on his case for a while.
They are the ones that dug into Cahuzac (ex-finance minister of Hollande) who is now doing bird for hiding money in Switzerland.
Obviously they have some accurate sources to have started on this.
It seems that apart from the Lebanese geezer delivering suitcases of cash, a paper trail of 4 transfers through Geneva has come to light.
There was also mention of the purchase of an apartment in all this too.
Last time round he got banged up overnight, and was not a happy bunny.
Seems a fair bit of documentary evidence is coming from Libya too.

Gaddafi relations haunt Sarkozy in 2007 campaign financing case - France 24

I wonder if Anthony Charles Lynton Blair is sleeping soundly these days?

The abiding memory I have of the little tool was him blanking Cameron- and by extension the British people- when Cameron was desperately trying to get some concessions out of the EU prior to the referendum.
Sarkozy was undoubtedly responsible for a good few leave votes so he did us a favour really.

Hitherto, with any luck. If the Libyans have the dirt on Sarko, then Blair's dealings with Gaddafi may come under renewed scrutiny, and any back door payments exposed.
I imagine anything dirty would have been burn-bagged by the "pro-western" factions that then became the Libyan govt.
There'll be evidence on someone's hard-drive somewhere but that'll be poo-pooed and dismissed by the pro-western media.
RT, Press TV or CCTV may have something sometime soon but that will also get dismissed.
At least we all know he's as dirty as they come.
Currently on Euronews, first aired in 2011.
Saif says:
And that was the last we heard about it.
