Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. A British mine disposal expert has been killed in Lebanon while clearing cluster bombs dropped by Israeli forces during last year's war with Hezbollah. Former soldier Craig Appleby, 36, from Farnham, Surrey, had been in Lebanon for a month, working for UK-based company ArmorGroup Mine Action.

RIP and thoughts to family and friends.
  2. Was there not a guy from this group who is mine disposal expert and going to Lebanon, can only hope its not the same guy but who ever he is.
