Hey.

I've got a good offer to lease a new Mercedes CLA from ForcesLeasing.com. I've searched the forums and all that pops up is Forces Car Direct. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience leasing through this company? And would they recommend it?

Hey.

No no no no!

Forces Cars Direct and Forces Leasing are one and the same.

They are merely a broker for other companies like LEX, you don't actually lease the car from them.

There is a long thread detailing my experiences with them, but here are the highlights:

1) The prices on their website are completely unrepresentative of the actual prices they can lease you a car for. For example they claim that a Skoda Yeti 4x4 Elegance 2.0 diesel will cost just £242 per month including VAT. When you actually come to get the quote it will be considerably more.

2) Once you order the car, sign a contract and pay your deposit, the salesman will realise he has fucked up and can't actually get you the car you need. They will then alter the contract hoping you won't notice. (In my case the word 4x4 disappeared between me emailing a scanned copy of the signed contract and the hard copy they sent me by post a few days later).

3) They will deliver a car that is not actually the one you ordered. It will be deliver 2 months later than agreed. When you query this they will call you a liar, when you produce copies of the contracts you signed showing the correct car, they will say the contracts are not binding. When you demand the car you actually ordered, they will add 50 quid a month to the price.

4) When you express your dissatisfaction at their appalling customer service and suggest that you are tempted to write a shitty review about how you've been treated, they will threaten to sue you.

Absolute cnuts.

It's also worth pointing out that they trade on the fact that they are exclusively for the forces and are trying to do a good deed by getting good deals for those who deserve it. The truth is, absolutely anyone can lease a car from them. At no point will you be asked about your service or for any proof.

So basically Forces Cars Direct are a bunch of useless ******* who are trading with a name to try trick people into thinking they specialise in dealing with the armed forces when in actual fact you would not trust them to run a bath and there are cheaper and better options out there.

I think you should probably avoid them.
