Now here's a query for anyone in the know about the London Marathon Ballot. Apparently approx 100,000 people apply every year and they accept roughly 40,000 to run. A couple of lads at work have been knocked back about 4 times each and we were wondering just how many ballot places are available. When you take out all the elite entries, good for age runners, club places and mainly the charity places there can't be that many places left for Joe Public to get. I know they can get the golden bond charity places but they have to raise somewhere between £1000-£2000 which isn't easy. Apparently you have to be rejected 5 times before you get an entry! Strange old system especially when you see the likes of that mong Goody doing it in fcuking fashion type trainers!!
