#metooIt could have transited with top off's by USAF tankers but it's a long trek for the pilot. Would have thought they'd stop at Gander for a rest etc.

Be handy to nip to the shops in.A pair of trainer's. Are you giving hints about what you want for Christmas?
Even handier to nip to the Canaries for Duty Free fags. Probs wouldn’t make it in one hop so lunch outbound in Lisbon, dinner inbound in Bordeaux and a packet of Tena Man and you’re sorted.Be handy to nip to the shops in.
What direction were you facing when you took the photo? Was driving through Bardney (nr Lincoln) yesterday (around 1200 midday) and spotted this jet flying around. Quick check on flightradar24 didn't help.
Probably a bit late but anyone able to shed any light on exactly what was making these trails?

We were looking East(ish). The little green blobs were where we were, the white arrow roughly the way we were looking. What direction were you facing when you took the photo?
Could be tanker refuelling tracks or aircraft in a standard holding pattern. AARA (air to air refuelling area) 8 is due east of Bardney, out over the sea.
Tanker tracks probably then.We were looking East(ish). The little green blobs were where we were, the white arrow roughly the way we were looking.View attachment 525572
The cost of fuel would probably make the cigs expensive. I don’t buy from Canaries too high a risk of losing the cigs.Even handier to nip to the Canaries for Duty Free fags. Used to regularly see Nimrods on “liaison” trips to the Canaries, most of which went outbound on a Friday, in on a Monday for complex operational reasons.
