Anyone know whether this week's Thursday war was cancelled in the South coast exercise areas?

@Toastie What do the NOTAMS say for that area?

I was expecting that HMS Prince of Wales would embark a couple of Merlin HM2s and do ASW as part of her FOST work up. Also things like taking control of intercepting bogeys.

Maybe next week?

There were two Cobham Falcons up out of Bournemouth yesterday which tootled round but did stay well clear of Cornwall.

Possibly jamming

RR assumed the engines would be virtually horizontal at all stages of flight. When the aircraft is on the ground the engines sit in a tail-down attitude and the rest, as they say, is covered by the esteemed members, above.

RR didn't have much to do with the Gem design themselves, they inherited it from Bristol who in turn had acquired it from de Havilland. Yes it was that old. And that's also why it's not named after a river ( Goblin, Ghost, Gyron... )

If you think I’m wading through the London FIR Notams you are working under the illusion that I’m really, really dedicated.

This has been "hired" as accomodation for the Police etc that have been drafted in for the G7 summit. Guess what? just read some news that positive test results for C19 have been found on board.

A long shift for the two Typhoons and Voyager. They've now been on station for coming up to seven hours just off the coast.

Does the carrier, above which they are flying racetracks, have no aircraft embarked? Now I'm no air tactics guru, but why aren't the carrier air wing flying the CAP?
Apparently not, they only had their first landing 2 days ago:

Up until just now, I thought the PoW just had Apaches aboard.

I think that you're right with regard to embarked airframes, the F35's were just practicing landings.
Ah okay, cheers. I was sure the Queen Elizabeth was the only one with attached F35's as of present but not 100% sure.
